You may have heard the news that came out of Colombia last week…?

A major peace treaty between the Colombian government and FARC.

If you don’t know what is going on there, don’t worry, I’ll explain it later this week.

The important part is that the investment thesis for investing in Colombia just became much stronger. Luckily, I’ve been doing lots of due diligence there, preparing to take advantage of the possibly huge turn-around the country will see. Exciting times!

Today, I wanted to share a story…

I truly believe that this is one of the most important concepts about success – about how you can use relationships to help your journey through life. How you continually help and give, while not expecting anything from others.

Q: Do the rich want other people to become rich?

There are three types of rich people.

Let’s pretend that we are walking up a muddy, slippery hill. It’s just you and me. We’re walking up this hill and tripping and struggling to make it up. We are covered in mud, but trying our hardest to get to the top. Then, three rich people start walking up the hill below us. They have better technique and know how to walk up this muddy hill faster than us.

The first rich guy catches up to us and literally walks on top of our backs and then on our face, while he continues his march up the hill. He doesn’t even give us a glancing look. He just runs us over.

The second rich guy catches up to us and says, “Hey guys! This hill sure does suck, doesn’t it? Well… good luck! I’ll see you at the top!”

The third rich guy catches up to us and grabs our hands and pulls us all the way to the top.

This is exactly how people approach life. What type of person are you?

Are you pulling people along with you? Just passing others by without saying a word? Or are you  running people over on your path to the top?
