The Explorer Partnership (E/P) is a private travel and social group founded by Cody Shirk.
As a group, the E/P travels several times a year to exotic destinations to connect with fellow adventurous and growth-oriented risk-takers.
The E/P ’s mission is to create a powerful network of investors, entrepreneurs, and builders who are endlessly curious about what’s around the next corner.
Starting as an investment group in 2016, the E/P has evolved to a community of Explorers in search of once-in-a-lifetime experiences that challenge members to become better individuals - both professionally and personally.
Today, E/P members continue to travel, partner, and invest together.

Upcoming Events:
June 2024 - Tamarindo, Guanacaste Province; Costa Rica
Registration for our annual Explorer Summit is now open. Head here to learn more about the longevity and surfing-themed event and get your ticket today. Prices increase at the end of February.
March 2024 - Georgetown; Guyana
Join us for a two-night trip to Georgetown, Guyana, as we explore on-the-ground investment opportunities presented by local partners. This will be a smaller event. Register here.
Past Events:
Co-hosted with Swen Lorenz, of Undervalued-Shares, we gathered in one of the fastest growing economies in the US. We reviewed global geopolotical events and learned about Swen’s project to take a British Isle public.
August 2023 - San Diego, California; USA
Explorers flew in from Europe, Asia, and South America to socialize and catch up on investing opportunities within the Explorer community.
April 2022 - Austin, Texas; USA (Dinner)
As one of the fastest-growing tech hubs, Austin was a great location for the Explorer family to reunite after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
June 2019 - Cali; Colombia
In addition to reviewing local investing opportunities, Explorers collectively bought a building and converted it into a multi-unit apartment building (which is still in operation today).
April 2019 - London; United Kingdom
Special guest presenters shared their knowledge about the lithium mining industry and strategic international investment opportunities listed on London stock exchanges. A special side trip was made to the private residence of a Middle Eastern Royal family.
December 2018 - New York, New York; USA (Dinner)
Dinner guests met a variety of different fund managers based out of NYC and learned about Manhattan real estate investing trends. Late-night adventures were pursued after dinner.
November 2018 - Las Vegas, Nevada; USA
Held in Old Town Las Vegas, dinner guests learned about the lucrative entertainment business based in Sin City. The next day, several Explorers attended a super car racing school on the outskirts of town.
October 2018 - Toronto, Ontario; Canada (Dinner)
Over two nights, a group of Explorers toured the city’s food scene while meeting with select local tech companies.
September 2018 - Boston, Massachusetts; USA
Over two days, guests toured restaurants owned by fellow Explorers and toured historic universities.
August 2018 - Hong Kong, Macao, & Shenzhen; China
Easily the most complex trip to date, Explorers toured several cities in China with multiple border crossings. In addition to visiting notable historical landmarks, Explorers received a VIP tour of the Tencent HQ, met with fund managers, and attended dinners at private social clubs.
July 2018 - Chicago, Illinois; USA (Dinner)
Hosted at a private underground restaurant, Explorers met with local manufacturers and learned about different business opportunities.
April 2018 - San Juan, Puerto Rico
Held shortly after Puerto Rico was devastated by hurricane Maria, Explorers toured multiple real estate investment opportunities throughout the island. Additionally, lawyers, government officials, and local business owners held presentations about Puerto Rico’s attractive tax structures.
March 2018 - London; United Kingdom (Dinner)
Scheduled during London’s largest private investor conference, Explorers met for a one-night dinner with speakers from two of the largest VC funds in the world.
February 2018 - San Francisco, California, USA (Dinner)
Hosted at an underground wine bar, Explorers joined over a dozen different tech executives from major companies based out of the Bay Area.
January 2018 - Denver, Colorado; USA
Explorers gathered for several days in the Mile High City to tour multiple different cannabis companies just as the industry was opening up.
October 2017 - Kyiv; Ukraine
Truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip, Explorers visited underground secret restaurants, oligarchs’ castles, and learned about the ancient history of the Slavic empire.
June 2017 - Cali; Colombia
From high mountain coffee farms to city-based real estate, Explorers gathered to make new friends and find hidden investments.
